WILDLIFE
The thousand-hectare nature reserve with roaming wildlife is the pride and joy of the estate.
FAUNA AND FLORA
What was originally conceptualised as a golf estate, was developed as a wildlife estate where more than 23 game species and abundant birdlife not only provide an escape from the hustle and bustle of city life, but the tranquility of nature also brings peace to the soul.
Game such as kudu, giraffe, zebra, sable, roan antelope, nyala, waterbuck, impala, gemsbok, springbuck, duiker, steenbok, and reedbuck have free access to the estate from the adjacent nature reserve and are roaming freely on the grounds. Besides the ample game in the area, residents can also appreciate the more than 180 species of birdlife that made this piece of untouched nature their home.
The enthusiastic fishermen among the residents can enjoy fishing in one of the two dams, the Visarend and the Rietduiker, where certain fish species are established. The catch and release rule applies.
Another plus for the area is the beautiful vegetation, including various indigenous plants.
GAME DRIVES
Even though residents are often surprised by a springbuck or other species on their doorstep, the association is providing game drives for those who would like to appreciate and view the wildlife in their natural habitat.
Pre-arranged game drives are offered on a daily basis and a maximum of ten persons are accommodated per game drive, contributing to the exclusivity of estate living.
At Woodland Hills Wildlife Estate, nature starts on your doorstep. Whether you are tackling the well-maintained hiking trails on foot or choosing a relaxed game drive, make use of this opportunity to enjoy what Mother Nature has to offer.
